Question: What do the messages next to my assets mean in Portal?
Answer: After uploading an asset to our escrow system, assets can fall into one of three different states:
Processing
All assets start with the Processing status after they have finished being uploaded. In this stage, your assets are waiting to be encrypted by our system.
- Most assets take less than two hours to encrypt, but there may be longer waits during peak times
- If the asset continues to have the Processing status after six hours, please try re-uploading the asset
Failed
When an asset has been processed with errors, it is assigned this status. This means there is a problem with your asset that prevented it from being encrypted.
- Typical reasons for encryption failures include missing definitions or code errors
- To see more details about why the asset failed to encrypt, you can select the status rectangle to the left of the Asset ID
Active
This is the final stage of our escrow system. This means your asset has successfully been encrypted and is now ready for use.
