Question: What can I do about the following error code when trying to launch FiveM or RedM?
- 127. Could not locate the Rockstar Games Launcher Process! If you are running it as administrator, please launch it as a regular user.
Answer: This error can be caused if the Rockstar Games Launcher or supporting applications are running as an administrator when trying to launch either FiveM or RedM.
To resolve this, make sure none of the following applications launch or run with Administrator privileges:
- Launcher.exe
- LauncherPatcher.exe
- RockstarErrorHandler.exe
- SocialClubHelper.exe
Note: You may not see .exe depending on your Windows settings:
- Locate your Rockstar Games Launcher installation folder
- Default: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher
- Right-click the application
- Select Properties
- Select Compatibility
- Uncheck Run this program as an administrator
- Select Change settings for all users
- Uncheck Run this program as an administrator
- Select Apply and OK on both pop-ups
